A few years ago a friend of mine had a tea party themed wedding in her aunts backyard. A few of us helped her put together her flower arrangements. She used delicate tea pots that she got from friends, family and second hand stores.

These cute little floral arrangements consisted of selection of simple, but totally gorgeous flowers. No two centerpieces were the same but it worked because they were all in tea pots, and consisted of the same flowers. I think the total cost was under $200 for about 15 tables.

It was an incredibly charming wedding which took place in the late morning/early afternoon. She had an impressive brunch table with a million different kinds of biscuits, crepes, waffles, eggs, back bacon etc! She served champagne and orange juice and had like 10 different kinds of tea available.

To make her theme complete she gave everyone tea wedding favors, which I thought was a pretty special final touch!

A long time ago I saw a photo of a wedding that was overflowing with paper lanterns. It was beautiful.
