Amanda & Reaney’s Blue Beach Wedding
A match made in high school! Amanda and Reaney’s beach wedding is heart-melting stuff. They met as teens and tied the knot as twentysomethings. Clear blue skies, sparkling golden sands and rolling waves set the tone for these gorgeous nuptials.
This couple totally nailed the K.i.s.s. Wedding philosophy. Everything from the tropical wedding invitations to the beach wedding decorations, they kept it simple and special all the way.
The rich, deep blue color scheme did the talking. Amanda and Reaney didn’t need to go overboard with decor. The beauty of an outdoor wedding is that you get a ready-made, beautiful backdrop.
Why overdo it when Mother Nature has already taken care of business?

I had to take time out for their gorgeous wedding rings. Are you struggling to find beautiful bands that won’t blow your budget? Check out these purse-friendly Wedding Rings
A girl after my own heart! Loving the flip flops and toe ring. Amanda got smart with her footwear and made sure she glided across the golden sands. Imagine trying to walk up a beach aisle in high heels. Sand is the last thing you want to be kissing on your wedding day!
The blue and green garters are a genius nod to the beach theme.

Check out the simple, wooden wedding arch with draped fabric. Just gorgeous and ideal for the blissed-out beach setting.
Wedding flowers were used sparingly but to amazing effect. Crisp white blooms complimented the blue color scheme beautifully. I’m all for the less is more approach when it comes to bridal blooms. You save a fortune and they still make a big impact. Check Perfect Weddings Without the Debt for more budget saving ideas – it’s stuffed with them!
See how they added splashes of green into the mix? Complimentary colours, people!
Loving the starfish chair backs! Inspired stuff.
Why settle for one wedding cake when you could have two? The armadillo is amazing. I’m guessing this little fella was their high school mascot.
If you have a cake baking guru in the family, get them to whip up a magically delicious creation. I’m fast discovering that family and friends are genuinely happy when I give them little jobs to do. Get guests involved and they will have a stronger connection to your wedding.
See how they went for deckchair cake toppers? Deliciously different and once again, they fit with the beach theme brilliantly.
Lanterns and sparklers don’t cost the earth and make a massive statement. The illumuninated entrace to the evening reception venue looked like something out of a glossy honeymoon brochure.
The one thing I really love about this beach wedding is the laid-back vibe.
The dress code was spot on. See how all the guests went for semi-formal beach-friendly clothes? Floaty fabrics, summer colors and smiling faces made this big day a real beauty.
Nice to see the groom tossing the garter! Amanda and Reaney struck the right balance between observing tradition and doing things their own way.
