Ashley & Jarrett’s Silver & Yellow Spring Wedding
A traffic-stopping color scheme and some smart planning made this silver and yellow wedding a winner.
Ashley made sure she got the big day of her dreams by getting organised from the word go. Ok, so she’s an event planner and has a head start on the rest of us! Still, there’s alot to be learned from her ingenious use of location, decor, flowers and color. These nuptials may look expensive but you can easily adapt the ideas to suit a more modest budget.
It’s all about using thoughtful little touches to create a massive impact. Let’s check out the awesome style details of this super-chic spring wedding…
Loving the location! Dramatic or what? Who needs a lavish wedding arch or tons of decor when you’ve got a cool and contemporary backdrop?
The combination of modern city skyline and the more natural environment of Avanti Fountain Place was inspired. Who says you can’t have the best of both worlds?

I had to take a moment for the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses. Totally digging that shade of silver. The hint of purple set off the sunny yellow flowers to perfection.
Silver and yellow is an inspired color combination. The yellow is so vibrant and the silver sophisticated. Perfect for a contemporary city wedding in the spring.
Gorgeous dress! Romantic and chic. The yellow bridal shoes and matching garters were a bold choice that worked brilliantly. You’ve got to hand it to this thoroughly modern bride. She knows what’s what in the style stakes.
Ashley gave a subtle nod to tradition and threw in a couple of her own funky style touches.
Flowers played a huge role in this stunning silver and yellow wedding. Now, that doesn’t mean you have to go spend an arm and a leg on bridal blooms. Far from it! Less is more, especially when you’re working with such a bright color.
Flowers work brilliantly with fruit and candles. See how they worked lemons into table centres? On scheme and awesome!
The scattered petals and floating candles lining the aisle looked fab and didn’t cost a fortune.

I love the way yellow and silver were worked into every aspect of the day, from dawn ’til dusk. From the funky champagne flutes to the elegant cake, contemporary signage and food, yellow was out and proud!
Choose a perfectly balanced color scheme like this and you literally can’t put a foot wrong.
Little touches added to the beauty of Ashley and Jarret’s big day. I’m crazy about the way they personalised everything in a simple but stylish way. Wedding favor boxes were seriously chic and simply carried the date and the first letters of the couple’s first names.
You don’t need to go overboard when it comes to wedding decor or details. See those boxes on the right? Yellow ribbon has turned an average brown box into something really special.
Their evening reception rocked, big time! The illuminated fountain gave their evening pics the movie-star effect. Guests got their groove on with gusto.
Ashley and Jarrett’s big day truly had it all. A touch of class, a huge helping of style and some seriously cool partying. What more could a gal possibly want?
