Bethany & Bryan’s Classy Country Wedding

A classy country wedding that cost  $2500. Say what?!? Hand on heart, I’m telling the truth! Bethany and Bryan took the concept of a DIY wedding to new heights of brilliance. These pics would pass muster in any glossy wedding magazine. Cornflower blue skies, golden rays of sunshine and lush greenery. Gorgeous!

This couple got smart and used their resources wisely. From cousins to good old Craigslist, no stone was left unturned.

It just goes to show that you really can have a big wedding on a small budget.

Look at Bethany’s sassy smile! This bride knows she’s nailed it on all fronts. Work it, girl!

Want an outdoor wedding that doesn’t blow your budget? Choose your setting carefully. Bethany couldn’t have hoped for a better pic with her bridesmaids. Those flowers in the foreground added the finishing touch. And they didn’t cost her a bean. Loving your work, lady!

It takes a brave bride to let her bridesmaids wear black. Bethany’s decision definitely paid off. LBDs come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges. Brilliant if you’re on a budget but have a big group of bms.

The wedding flowers were gorgeous. Would you believe me if I told you they only cost $150? I kid you not! The trick is to keep bouquets small but perfectly formed. Make full use of foliage and mix greens with whites. It’s a color combination that looks fresh and fab.

The wedding dress looks super expensive but came courtesy of a cousin. Keeping it in the family – it’s what a wedding is all about.

Wondering how to make your own order of service and place markers? Look no further. Make like Bryan and Bethany. Choose white card and keep fonts classic. You don’t need frills and flounce to make a statement.

Worrying about the cost of a wedding cake? Don’t panic.  There’s no law that says you need three tiers. One is absolutely fine and you can go to town on decoration.

Remember ladies – quality not quantity!

Bethany’s humble budget didn’t stop her from hitting the aisle in style! She kept her jewelry chic and understated and went with the vintage vibe. Those dangly pearl earrings, necklace and event the wedding parasol rock the Art Deco trend. Inspired stuff.

Want a beautiful barnet on a budget? Ask a friend or family member to do your wedding hair. You’d be surprised at how many gals are handy with hair. There’s no need to pay a stylist tons of dollars for a divine do!

A final word on wedding receptions and decor. Why overdo it? This reception room looks awesome with minimal decoration. Keep it light and airy. The white chairs and tablecloths look fresh and clean. See how they’ve used the white and green color combo again? It worked for the flowers and it’s doing wonders for the decor.

So ladies, what have we learned from this classy country wedding?

  1. Get creative and use all resources – both on and offline.
  2. Pick a venue with plenty of trees, flowers and foliage for your pics.
  3. Follow the less is more rule when it comes to wedding decor and flowers.
