Brittany & Jonathan’s Perfectly Purple City Wedding

Want to hear something amazing? The bride, Brittany, finished her Masters just one month before this pretty-as-a-picture wedding, and then brought all the details together in just four weeks. Isn’t that incredible?! Even though the couple had such a short space of time to make it all happen, they still managed to infuse every aspect of their big day with thoughtful effort and lots of love.

Brittany’s favorite color is purple, as you can probably tell! I love how she’s woven this gorgeously regal-looking shade through every element of the wedding. The stylish boutonnieres, the floral arrangements, even the uber-trendy bridesmaid dresses – they’re all just so pretty and purple! The color co-ordination gives the whole event such a pulled-together look.

The great thing about these fantastic little touches is that they don’t have to cost an arm and a leg. See how the couple used inexpensive paper lanterns to dress up this outdoor wedding? What a great idea – they give a great injection of color, are less pricey than elaborate floral decorations, and really give an edgy, modern look to the aisle! Smart choice, Brittany!

I’m also loving the cute favors (purple of course!). Little boxes of personalized mints and prettily-wrapped lollipops look so great set up on the tables, and give each guest a sweet treat to take away with them.

And… speaking of sweet treats – how yum does that cake table look? Instead of splashing out on a fancy multi-tiered wedding cake, Brittany and Jon chose several different cakes to adorn their table. Great idea – and cost-effective too! Looks like this couple holds the K.i.s.s. principles close to their hearts, just like us!
