After weeks of looking at pretty pastels, I’m loving the crisp glamor of this fall North Carolina wedding with its unusual color palette of hot pink, black and white.
Here is the awesome part: this super-savvy couple, who were best friends and workmates before they got hitched, opted for an elegantly simple outdoor wedding which didn’t break the bank. And how did they do that? They kept things pared down and dramatic, and so ensured that decorations and accessories stayed in budget.

This magical pumpkin themed wedding was planned in just over a month! Raymond discovered he was to be posted to Afghanistan and wanted to marry Mallory before he was deployed. I didn’t know whether to smile or shed a tear when I first glimpsed these stunning outdoor wedding photos.
Hats off to this brave and beautiful couple. I can barely believe they did all this in such a short time. It’s an incredible achievement. There’s a very strong organic feel coupled with elegant styling and a few funky touches. All the elements blended beautifully.
Want the fall fairytale effect for your wedding? Look no further for inspiration. Mallory and Raymond nailed it on every level.

Lael & Zach’s Simple Country Wedding
Lael married her sofa surfer Zach in perfect Pacific Northwest style! This classic county wedding in Oregon earns an A for originality and personality.
This ceremony and reception took place at their house. It was business in front, party in the back. Backyard weddings are just so great and the fact that Lael and Zach did pretty much everything themselves makes it all the more special!
They totally nailed the DIY wedding philosophy: keep it simple and spend in areas you really care about. They wrote their own vows and her uncle officiated. The invites came courtesy of their chickens! Family and friends pitched in wherever they could. Personal touches played a huge role.
Think sunshine, simplicity and smiles all round.
