Alyssa and Jason’s Colorful Halloween Themed Wedding With Vintage Goth Style
Deliciously different, a Halloween themed wedding that really rocks!
Slightly spooky but incredibly classy, this particular theme channeled the whole vintage gothic vibe to perfection – right down to the haunted house! As far as fall wedding themes go, this one kicks butt!
Want to know how they did it?
It was all down to a clever combination of colors, venue and subtle Halloween-themed touches.
I’m absolutely ecstatic about the genius mix of colours. Royal blues and burgundies are a really unusual choice but this couple totally pulled it off. Her bridal bouquet is offbeat but still totally bold and beautiful. See how they made the color theme work without being too matchy-matchy about it? The groom’s black shirt and burgundy tie is inspired stuff!
The brilliant choice of venue set the tone from the start. I absolutely adore this atmospheric setting.
The white house has got the whole American gothic thing going on but looks incredibly classy too. The candle and ’Ceremony’ sign with pointing the way is an amazing idea that’s just begging to be borrowed!
Check out the creative little touches. They’ve combined the spooky spirit of Halloween with vintage detailing and the results are absolutely awesome. The skeleton bride and groom figures are nothing short of genius! They’ve made a small decorative touch into a massive feature with intricate, old-fashioned outfits.
Aren’t you just crazy about her shoes! They’re like a grown-up version of Dorothy’s red slippers from the Wizard of Oz. Burgundy retro peep toes with lots of glitter complement her vintage style wedding dress like a dream.
You can easily evoke the spirit of this vintage Halloween theme
Make it speak your language by doing the DIY wedding thing with wedding flowers and favors. This couple used a coordinator but you can achieve the same kind of effect without one. Check out Perfect Weddings Without the Debt for tons of inspiration and ingenious ideas.
Try mini pumpkin table markers and flickering tealights in holders.
Give guests boxes of Halloween candy as favors.
Think about what you really love about Halloween. Is it the candy? Does the gothic atmosphere suit your style? Or are you mad about the deep, dramatic colors?
Whatever gets your pulse racing about this holiday can be made to work with your wedding flowers and decor.

Ya, that skeleton thingie is super cute! I think my favorite thing about this wedding is the colors. It’s just so unexpected for a halloween theme, but it really works.
