Jamie & Eric’s Beach-themed Wedding
Calling all DIY brides! This blue and white outdoor wedding is a masterclass in how to make your dollars go the distance.
The Pelican Lakes Golf & Country Club had everything Jamie and Eric wanted from a wedding venue. They’re seasoned travellers and wanted their big day to include water. The great outdoors, starfish and water took centre stage.
Fortunately, this fab venue came complete with a lake and sandy shores! A steam boat took them around the lake to celebrate their nuptials. They got the whole beach vibe without travelling to the coast.
Look at that amazing backdrop! Blazing sun, lush lawns, winding walkways and tall trees. If you want awesome wedding photos, pick a venue with great grounds. Who needs pricey ceremony arrangements and elaborate wedding decor when you’ve got Mother Nature’s finest? It’s all about using raw material to the max!
Loving their work with the beach theme wedding invitations! They’ve got that whole handcrafted, personal thing going on.
Brides on a budget – listen up! Making your own invites is one of the best ways to put your personal stamp on a wedding. Plus you’ll save a stack of cash! Draft in bm’s and moms to help.
If you can’t strut your stuff at your own wedding, when can you? Jamie and Eric rocked the floor with their first dance. Adore her shades! Also liking her heels – chic but not so high she can’t get her groove on.
How To Make This Wedding Yours…
Lookin’ for beach wedding ideas? Fancy a bit of blue and white wedding action?
Make like Jamie and Eric’s and swap the traditional guest book for a board. That will look wonderful on their wall at home. A constant reminder of their big day. Also love the way they wove personal photos into the wedding decor.
See those wedding favor boxes with the cute starfish? I might be wrong but I’d lay money on those little beauties being home made. Brilliant way to save dollars.
Thinking of a 2 shade color theme? Do a Jamie and add a third contrasting color into the mix. Use sparingly for maximum effect. Rich red popped to make a big impression on bouquets, table centres and invitations.
There was a strong water and beach theme to this outdoor wedding. They took a small selection of beach emblems and worked them into the whole day. From starfish on invites and favors to those teeny bottles of colored sand. Gorgeous and inexpensive. Happy days all round!
Check out the reception tables. Simple and incredibly classy! Adore the table centres - gorgeous baby blue blooms and starfish in vases. Genius!
Tea lights – they’re a bride’s best friend when it comes to affordable wedding decor.
On a final note – have fun!
