Jamie & Nate’s Autumn Country Wedding With A Magenta and Purple Color Scheme

Bold colours, glorious scenery and cool cars made this country wedding a winner. Jamie and Nate really channeled the K.i.s.s. Wedding philosophy – keep it simple and special.

Beaver Meadows gave this happy couple a beautiful backdrop for their big day.

The setting rocked. Plump for an outdoor wedding in the heart of the countryside and you don’t need to spend a billion on wedding decor. Just look at that badass backdrop! What a beauty.

Blue skies, a dramatic landscape, a lush green forest and a shimmering lake. What more could a gal want for her wedding pics?

Loving the signage! Everything about this country wedding was complimentary and appropriate to the setting and the couple’s style.

I’m not just punning for the fun of it; cars were the driving force behind this wedding. As you can see from the pic above, Nate proposed to Jamie when they went to the movies to see Cars. They wanted vehicles to give their wedding a bit of va-va voom.

You’ve got to show some respect for the way they worked both a classic car and a tractor into the wedding. A nod to tradition and a nod to location and theme.

Nice to see they carried the theme right through with a tractor wedding cake topper! Wouldn’t some quaint country wedding favors be perfect for this theme?

Jamie and Nate took full advantage of every aspect of the location. Check that ingenious timber framed arch! It hits the right rustic note.

A word about wedding flowers. Don’t let them blow your budget. There’s really no need. Jamie’s bridal bouquets prove that simple is beautiful. They’ve got the whole wildflower thing going on.

Have you noticed the lanterns and fairy lights hanging from the wooden beams in the reception room? A bit of sparkle goes a long way. Used sparingly, fairy lights can have a huge effect and they’re inexpensive. Tables and decor were kept fresh and minimalistic. The white cloths and chairs worked with the sunlight to create a light and airy effect.

The dark blue and purple color scheme was subtly worked into key areas. The bridesmaid’s dresses complimented the setting perfectly. Dramatic and feminine but not too girly.

Weighing up whether or not to do favors? Look at Jamie and Nate’s. You could easily make these little lovelies for a fraction of the cost of store bought favor boxes.

I couldn’t sign off without saluting the style details. A blend of classic and contemporary styling made this country wedding stand out from the crowd.

Take the wedding rings – their distinctive designs are thoroughly modern.  The strapless gown is bang on trend but the embroidery and beading has a romantic, retro look and feel. Meanwhile, the garter belt is waving the flag for tradition in the ‘something blue’ corner. All the elements balanced beautifully.
