Kristin & Justin’s Heavenly Hawaii Wedding

Feast your eyes on a sunkissed beach, a magnificent mountain backdrop and a beautiful bride. Kristin and Justin’s destination wedding rocked. A stunning setting coupled with imaginative decor and ‘I do’ details made these nuptials stand out for all the right reasons.

Traditional, contemporary and exotic touches were all blended together brilliantly.

These pics prove that a stunning setting says it all. Brides on a budget take note! Let Mother Nature do the hard work and make your money go the extra mile.

Even the most well-travelled bride couldn’t fail to be impressed by the illuminated tables and mountain backdrop! No elaborate touches were needed. Nothing was faked; this wedding was a bona fide natural beauty.

Justin used diamonds from his grandmother’s rings to form Kristen’s engagement rock. It’s enough to bring a tear to the eye!

Let’s take a closer look at the ceremony location and reception setting. Vows were exchanged and glasses raised at a private residence in Haena on the island of Kauai, which gave the party an intimate atmosphere.

Kristen and Justin totally nailed the K.i.s.s. Wedding philosophy. Chairs and table decor were kept simple but special. Hints of purple, green and ivory complemented the magical location beautifully and looked classy and pretty.

Loving the lace on the ‘K’ chair back! Always nice to see a bit of vintage styling in wedding decor. Check the tables, they’re chic with an organic look and feel. Wine bottles, long tapered candles and wildflower arrangements worked like a charm.

The style details were spot on. Kristen and Justin married traditional wedding styling with Hawaiian elements and got great results. Loving the parasols, the vines and the beads! The bridesmaid wore pretty pearls and Kristen’s gown was floaty and romantic.

The flowers were fab – exotic blooms were a smart move. Work with the look and feel of your location and the pictures will look balanced and natural.

Totally digging the funky place settings! If you are planning to go down the DIY route, pick up plates and napkins then print off  your own menus in funky fonts.

Kristen and Justin themed their decor around the idea of an island getaway with vintage postcards in place of a guest book. Retro suitcases were used to decorate tables. Ingenious or what? Loving the floral arrangements; wild and super pretty.

They also included old school family photos, a personal touch which doesn’t cost a bean and says more than words ever could.

There are two things no wedding should be without – music and cake!

The Ukele was strummed during the day and when the sun went down, Kristen and Justin had their very own luau with plenty of cake stuffing! Loving the little glowing lanterns on tables.

Laid back and lovely, this wedding has got the lot.
