Mary & Paul’s Blue, Green & White Wedding
Torn between country and city nuptials? Mary & Paul got the best of both worlds with their breathtaking blue, green and white fall wedding.
They said ‘I do’ in a chapel both had studied at architectural school, located up in the Ozark Mountains. Then it was time to let loose and party with a cool urban-style reception in Eureka Springs.
This is probably the coolest offbeat wedding in the world. Prepare to turn green with envy, girls.
What’s more, they did it all on a $10k budget!
This divine destination wedding featured everything from a lake and rolling hills to masks to Lego. Mary and Paul stayed within budget by adopting the DIY wedding philosophy. Top marks for creativity and dedication, guys! Your efforts paid off big time.
Mary’s wedding shoes were gorgeous. Loving the pretty pearl detailing and the blue was a nice nod to their color scheme. Speaking of which, blue, white and green is an unusual choice for a fall wedding but it totally worked.

Mary and Paul didn’t need to go overboard with wedding flowers. The dramatic location and the cool color scheme did the talking.
Reception rooms don’t have to be festooned with flowers to look lovely. Look at those tall lillies in slimline vases. Simple but stunning. The winding ribbon sets them off to perfection. Using statement flowers sparingly is the way forward if you want to save money and get the wow factor.

What could be more romantic than getting spliced up in the mountains? Check that chapel – it’s an architectural wonder! Epic is the word that springs instantly to mind when I look at the pics from this destination wedding.
The Ozark Mountains had it all – lake, rugged ranges and lush greenery. Gorgeous!
Don’t dress up an urban location – go with it. That shot on the back stairs screams funky and contemporary.
Do I smell vintage? Classic details gave the day a strong, retro look and feel. The black and white photo of the groomsmen is one of the best wedding pics I’ve ever seen.
The choice of wedding car was inspired. I’d never have thought of a VW lovebug! Appropriate or what? Who needs a Bentley when you can hit the highway in a funky little veedub?
Sometimes, it’s the little details that are the most memorable. Check their Lego bride and groom cake toppers! Want to make a massive statement on a petite budget? This is how to do it, people.
Music and dancing are a must if you want memorable moments. These shots aren’t staged. The smiles are obviously genuine and spontaneous.
If a live band or a DJ are a little too expensive, channel the iPod reception trend and make your own playlist.
You’d never guess this fall wedding was put together for a fraction of the price of the ‘average’ day. Chuck the rule book out the window and stop getting stressed over budget calculators.
Mary and Paul are living proof that you can have a dream day on a small budget.
