Matt & Meg’s Magnificent Country Western Wedding
Legendary location? Check. Authentic music? Check. Cowboy boots? Clint would definitely approve of the funky footwear. There’s no two ways about it; this country western wedding is a winner on all fronts.
Hats off to this stylish pair. Matt and Meg planned and styled a wedding that was both badass and beautiful. The flowers and horse-drawn carriage screamed old school romance. Meanwhile, the blue cocktails and awesome Nashville skyline flew the flag for new school cool.
Jealous? Moi? You bet your ass I am! Ladies, it’s time to show some respect…
Loving the electric blue color scheme! It hit exactly the right note.
Wow! Totally digging the horse-drawn carriage. A nice nod to tradition and oh-so-retro.
The combination of electric blue and bright white worked brilliantly. Matt and Meg wove their color scheme into every aspect of the day – right down to those cocktail stirrers. You could easily make these and they add that chic, cocktail hour touch.
Check out the M&M monogram. Watch out for this little detail, it pops up in a big way later.
Totally digging the personalised wedding cake toppers! If you want to put a personal stamp on things, make your own. One smart couple I covered last week made theirs out of LEGO. You don’t have to blow the budget to make a wedding stand out from the crowd.

Speaking of which – check those floating candle table centers. Gorgeous and less expensive than elaborate floral arrangements.
The vase full of petals is an inspired touch. It looks a million dollars but didn’t cost a small fortune. This is chic but inexpensive wedding decor 101.
Looking for cool country mementos that stand the test of time? Matt and Meg gave their guests personalised pens. Try these Country Wedding Favors for size.
I had to take a moment for the spectacular shoes! The bride got the best of both worlds. Chic by day and wild by night! Meg – I salute your awesome footwear.
Matt’s shoes weren’t half bad either!
See how they carried the M&M monogram right through to the evening reception venue? Loving the illuminated backdrop! A bit of bling goes a long way. It also meant they didn’t need to go overboard with table decor or chair backs. Simple sashes looked lovely.
Speaking of all things illuminated, those strings of clear light bulbs lit up the exposed brickword and polished wooden floors brilliantly.
No country western wedding would be complete without live music! Guests got down to the sounds of the Nash Vegas All Stars. I can’t blame Meg for changing outfits and shoes. If you can’t get your groove on at your own wedding, when can you?
