Mitch and Michelle’s Rustic Summer Wedding
Set on a ranch amidst the rolling hills, this fabulously simple wedding is just full to the brim with atmospheric beauty. With the mountains providing a dramatic backdrop, this outdoor wedding needed minimal decorations, relying on handmade touches and lots of love to make it memorable.
I’m just loving the simple color palette for this celebrating – soft natural shades of caramel and brown that complement the rugged surroundings. It’s great that the couple chose to let each bridesmaid wear something different – and it’s easier on the pocket too, if you can be more flexible!
This color scheme is great for decorating, because all the finery you need is right there in your backyard. Don’t miss those super-simple yet elegant chair adornments made with raffia, wheat stalks and sprigs of lavender – utterly inspired, and so easy to make!
The country wedding favors, table settings and sweet wooden handpainted signs all add to the rustic charm of the event. And see how the tent is decorated with minimalism but still looks absolutely elegant? That’s the magic of paper lanterns! More simple and special wedding decoration ideas here.
Even though this was a summer wedding, the weather did play up a little, and the heavens opened up while the guests were enjoying their meal in the tent. Luckily it soon cleared up though, and a gorgeous rainbow appeared in the sky, like a good luck omen for the bride and groom – what a perfect ending to their big day!
