Molly and Nick’s Fun Yellow Wedding in the Summer

This small town really knows how to party!

Molly and Nick’s summer wedding in Avoca, Nebraska was a salute to all things fun and joyful. From the outdoor setting to the quirky accessories, this wedding is the perfect example of Keeping It Simple and Special.

Ladies, listen up! This wedding is full of inventive ideas for great decor.

Molly and Nick earn an A+ for their choice of the town square for their setting. They made super smart choices with decor, too. Check out the perfect placement of the head table – directly under a basketball hoop. And the basketball court? Instant dance floor! They even hung a chandelier from the hoop directly over the heads of the bride and groom.

I’ve got two words for this wedding: absolutely fabulous!

Learning how to enhance the setting you’ve chosen is easy with our guide to summer wedding themes.

This creative couple made fantastic use of unique objects to decorate their outdoor setting. These photos ooze charm, don’t they? Wild flowers in simple, glass vases are elegant and attractive. The colorful bottle caps lend a kitschy vibe. And who doesn’t love those mason jars?

No one, that’s who.

It’s hard to pick a favorite decoration, but I have big love for the photo display. This delightful string of photos of the happy couple are attached to a chain link fence by a string and some clothes pins. Whallah! Instant adorable decor.

I love all the yellow in these wedding photos! I also love how the bride and groom utilized many kinds of flowers. From bright daisies to full sunflowers to dainty wild flowers. The variety of yellow flowers looks nothing short of fantastic. I especially like the simple sunflower bouquet and the sunflowers adorning the bottom of the cake stand.

How adorable is this wedding cake? The timeless white frosting was accented with whimsical and colorful buttons. The cake is a perfect size for a small wedding. The bride and groom made sure there were plenty of other mouthwatering desserts for their guests, too.

The bride and groom looked completely relaxed the entire day. They also looked absolutely stunning in their sharp tux and beautiful dress.

Molly’s strapless, flowing gown is simple and flawless. Check out the swaths of fabric crossing on the bodice. Gorgeous! The length of her dress was perfect as well.

The rest of the wedding party looked great, too! In gray, the bridesmaids’ knee length dresses were customized to their personal style. The gents looked sharp in crisp black and white tuxedos with bright yellow boutonnières.

Judging from the sheer number of photos that capture laughter and smiles, this was one fun day! The couple really made the most of their big day by celebrating right in the middle of town. The city itself played a big part in creating a unique and fun environment to celebrate this special occasion.

These wedding photos are super charming. They illustrate just how fantastic an affordable wedding can look.
