Monica and Hayri’s Elegant Wedding in the Vermont Mountains

From the delicate fairy lights twinkling above the reception right down to the bride’s pretty satin-shod toes, this wedding just projects ultimate country elegance. Set amidst the lush green hills, every aspect of this couple’s big day reflects their style, flair and charm.

I can’t help but keep coming back to Monica’s fabulous vintage style dress – such gorgeousness! There’s something about that cobwebby lace that just embodies old-fashioned elegance, yet the cut is uncompromisingly modern. Heavenly.

Maybe that blend of old and new is what makes this garden wedding work so beautifully. In a traditional barn setting, the couple used votives and fairy lights to create a fun, fresh look, and the end result is just stnning – very atmospheric! Very cost-effective too! Never underestimate the transforming power of some carefully chosen ambient lighting – you don’t really need expensive and elaborate decorations, especially in a venue like this one…

What makes this wedding really stand out is not the grand décor but the little, thoughtful touches like the invitations designed using photographs of Monica and Hayri’s travels together. They’ve managed to keep things simple yet still special – aha! – by filling glass jars with pretty peonies for the centerpieces and placing personalized miniature bottles at each place as wedding favors. I’ve also fallen in love with the rustic looking mason jars used to serve cold drinks outside. Those stripey straws and chilled blueberries look just adorable! Wish we were there! But we’ll settle for feasting our eyes on the pictures… again and again…
