Ryan & Kelly’s Gorgeous Brown & Green Wedding

If these pics don’t turn you green with envy, nothing will! I want the Ryan and Kelly effect for my wedding.

Their big day was a natural beauty. Think organic decor galore and ingenious little touches. Brown and green is an unusual choice for a color scheme and gave their nuptials a fresh and eco-friendly feel.

Ryan and Kelly’s big day details suit the tone and style of the ceremony setting and reception venue perfectly. The Secret Garden was the perfect place for an outdoor wedding. You really can’t go wrong with lush green lawns, dappled sunlight, babbling brooks and rock gardens.

Awesome bridemaids dresses! Contemporary and elegant. A little ruching is a beautiful thing.

The chair backs were beautiful. The spring green complimented the gold chairs to perfection. Stuck for inspiration when it comes to making your reception venue look luscious? Try these wedding reception decoration ideas for size.

Check the super chic cupcakes! The earthly color scheme was worked into every aspect of the day. See how table decoration was kept to a minimum? Floral and fruit centrepieces suit the setting to a tee.

I had to take time out for the amazing location. Stables and hidden glades gave Ryan and Kelly a very varied set of pics. Rural bliss!

I love these cute little plates holding the wedding rings. Details like these don’t cost a fortune but make a lasting impression.

Adore the apple place markers! A refreshing change from the usual place cards. Brides on a budget take note – bags of apples don’t cost a king’s ransom and look incredible against white tablecloths.

This couple used complimentary colours that worked beautifully with green and brown. Check the groomsmen’s suits. It’s nice to see an alternative to the traditional somber colors.

Loving her work on the headgear! A cool and contemporary take on the classic wedding veil.

A final word about wedding receptions. Budget or blowout they’re all supposed to be fun. Look at this guy go! Don’t underestimate the lure of the dancefloor. Make sure your wedding disco playlist has a couple of floorfillers. Tearing your hair out trying to choose foot-tapping tunes everyone will enjoy? Ask your guests to email you one song they want to hear on the day when they RSVP.

Remember the first rule of DIY weddings – use every resource at your disposal!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this wedding. This is such a great color combo and the details in this wedding are amazing. I’m totally in love with that fruit centerpiece. So nice to see something a bit different and beautiful. And, those little plates are such a wonderful idea.
