Fab fall shades and pumpkin theming gave this outdoor wedding the wow factor. Sara and Andrew got the full-on fairytale effect. It was all thanks to the brilliant backdrop and thoughtful detailing. A lush lake, dramatic hills in the distance, plus glorious flora and fauna. What gal could ask for more?
Pumpkins were used in key areas. They didn’t need to go crazy with wedding decor. The glowing oranges, dusky pinks and rich reds said it all. Who wouldn’t want to use seasonal flowers in fall? These months have magnificent bridal blooms in abundance. Take total advantage, ladies!
This couple got smart and used the fruits of the earth to full effect. Top marks all round.
Loving their work with the illuminated arch! The flowers winding up the sides were stunning. And the centrepiece is gorgeous! This is quite an extravagant floral arrangement. However, it’s easy to get the same effect without spending a fortune. Combine bold shades with berries and foliage and you’ve cracked it.
Those mini pumpkin place settings are cute and classy. A great way to work pumpkins into the reception. Looking for an alternative to pricey champers? Make like Sara and Andrew and serve fruit punch instead. Less expensive and looks way more appetising.

When you have such a bold color scheme, it’s easy to go overboard. Resist! Break things up a bit with my new favourite wedding decor tip – secondary shades. Seriously, they work wonders! Add a bit of oomph to delicate shades or soften rich, dark ones. See how Sara and Andrew added warm, creamy colors into the mix?
The wedding cake is chic and simple in eggshell. And the bridal bouquet has romance written all over it. The blend of bright whites with warm creams complemented the strong orange beautifully.
Had to take a moment to pay respect to Sara’s wonderful wedding dress. A real stunner! Strikes the perfect balance between fairytale and contemporary design. Also love the way she’s given a subtle nod to tradition with this fun blue garter belt. The sparkly heart is a fab finishing touch. I do love a teeny bit of bling!
This couple didn’t neglect a single element. Make sure the groomsmen don’t fall at the final hurdle! Most men are clueless when it comes to working out the traditional bow tie or cravat. Arm them with instructions and they’ll make it to the church on time. Remember – the best offence is a good defence!
