Top marks to Tara and Bret for creativity, style and class! Their pumpkin themed wedding was a blaze of brilliant colors, flowers and fruits of the earth. I’m talking golds, lush greens, bright yellows, glowing oranges and radiant reds. They worked fall’s fab color scheme to the max.
This fall wedding is a masterclass in dos and don’ts. Tara and Bret knew when to work pumpkins into the wedding decor. And when to leave them out. It’s a bit like that old song – ‘It ain’t what you do, it’s the way that you do it.’ This couple worked pumpkins and fall colors into every aspect – without going overboard. That’s how to have a stylish wedding!
They spent their dollars wisely. Absolutely essential for brides on a budget!
Mini pumpkins as place markers are unbeatable. Affordable, cute and deliciously different. As you can see, the guests got stuck in!
Loving their works with those lanterns. See how they used foliage instead of flowers? Inexpensive but still season. The lantern adds a touch of cosy, vintage charm. Candles, people! They save dollars and create a warm, romantic atmosphere.

Loving Tara’s work on the bridesmaids dresses. Cappuccino complimented the hot shades of the bridal bouquets brilliantly. Who knew? Be prepared to try different color combinations. Nude is a total godsend if you’re struggling with complimentary colors. And nude heels do give a gal a lovely long leg!
That bridal bouquet is the best I’ve seen in months. Talk about va va voom! Pinks, oranges, reds and yellows go together beautifully.
Let’s talk table centers. These were real showstoppers. Why? Bascially because they were imaginative and not identikit. Why have the same floral arrangements for every table? Do something different and ring the changes. You’ll also find that some flowers are less expensive than others. Mix things up and save some money!
Have you noticed how the wedding decor matched the carpets and furnishings of the venue? Work with the tone and style of a reception venue and you won’t have to spend a fortune on trimmings.
Had to take a minute for these stylish little touches.
The striking thing about this pumpkin themed wedding is the places they didn’t appear. It’s really easy to go overboard and do a theme to death. The wedding cake is a real classic and not a pumpkin in sight.
Love the way them dressed the champagne flutes! You could easily achieve the same effect. All it takes is velvet ribbon, netting and bows from a haberdashery.
Weddings cost money. The question is how to spend it! If you’re on a budget, consider where to splash the cash carefully. See the order of service? You could easily save a packet by whipping up a chic and simple design.
Saving money in some areas means you have more to spend on others. Like music and dancing. Get a pro DJ on board and you can breathe easy. Guests will get their groove on and your wedding reception will be a rip roaring success. Sweet!
