Kacey and Eric’s Funky White and Blue Wedding With Kilts

These funky wedding pics makes me want to hit the dancefloor and do the Highland Fling!

If you want a fun winter wedding, there’s loads to be learned right here.

This couple have worked wonders with a bold white and electric blue color theme. You can just tell they’ve had loads of fun with the winter wedding planning. And that’s the way it should be, right? The pictures just radiate good times and happiness.

The vibe is  funky and fabulous. They’ve channeled the Scottish spirit in a totally fresh way.

The traditional blue tartan kilts are teamed with pretty white flowers and cute cupcakes to show-stopping effect.

Want to steal their style? It’s a cinch and I’m betting you can do it easily on a budget. I’m currently reading Perfect Weddings Without the Debt and it’s an absolute godsend for brides like me on a budget.

The blue is really bold and they’ve gone all-out and used it to maximum effect. Check out the cute but stunning cupcakes. They’ve turned teeny cakes into a huge feature by working the blue color scheme into the icing. Consider me officially envious.

Speaking of sweet treats, their blue and white wedding cake is a real eye-catcher. Blue swirls and gems on white icing is a stunning combination. Those penguins are super cute and give a subtle nod to the winter theme.

Look at the classy buttoned jackets for the flowers! The blue works brilliantly with those pretty white roses and lush green leaves.

And let’s not forget the the bride’s sexy dress. Va-va voom! I’m absolutely crazy about the way she’s worked blue detailing into the straps, ties and cups. She’s gone for a separate bodice and skirt and worked a shorter style for the evening. She obviously intended to do some serious grooving at the evening reception. Loving the groom’s blue waistcoat and tie too. Totally funky and those shades are super cool.

She’s going to have lots of laughs with this guy!

  • We loved working with this couple! And the decor for the reception was dramatic and beautiful.

We made 3 types of cupcakes (deta, ils below) as well as a cake for them to cut.

-chocolate with vanilla buttercream in light blue with a sugar gem on each (pictured above)
-black velvet with white chocolate buttercream in dark royal blue, adorned with a fondant daisy
-vegan chocolate with vegan chocolate peanut butter ganache, with thin blue pinstripes piped in vegan buttercream
