{1} Nassau, Bahamas

The Bahamas is very large, with hundreds of islands to choose from. Nassau is the most popular, making it the most convenient (and affordable) for a beach wedding.

They also have a huge variety of resorts - from tiny family-owned inns with personal service to humungous resorts. Plus, it has the the clearest water in the world, wonderful architecture, history and great weather all year long!

{2} St. Lucia

St. Lucia also has alot of variety in terms of price and venue style. It might be more expensive than some other islands (like Jamaica) but I've chosen to include it here instead of one of them because I think it's an all around better place for a Caribbean beach wedding.

Not only is it "THE" most popular place for Caribbean beach weddings, but those beautiful mountains make it photo-ready. Plus, for those of you who want aren't into going to a resort and staying put, this is a great place to have a wedding and then enjoy alot of fun activities during your honeymoon.

{3} Puerto Rico

The reason I've included Puerto Rico on this list is because it's just so rich in history and art while having a vibrant and modern culture. It's perfect for those of you who want a bit of that European history/culture but can't afford to go to Europe!

It's also a more off-the-beaten track island for destination weddings so you won't have to worry about running into brides at every turn.

{4} St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

If you're into doing some travelling before or after your wedding the Virgin Islands have easy access to explore the other islands. This makes it a great island for those of you who want to take some fun day trips, without putting too much effort (or time) into going from one place to the other.

It is also known for the decidedly romantic energy that surrounds the islands while offering great value.

{5} A Caribbean Cruise

True, a cruise isn't technically an "island" wedding... but, it kinda is... don't you think?! It's just a "moving" island :)

I'm including it on this page for those of you are extremely busy and don't want to have too many distractions on your honeymoon. I think this would be a really relaxing, fabulous way to spent some alone-time together during your honemoon. And since you stop at a few islands it wouldn't end being too boring.

Besides, there isn't anything more romantic than watching the sun rise and set with your new husband/wife and you'd get that to the max on a cruise!
