Paper Lantern Wedding Decorations For Receptions And Ceremonies
A paper lantern wedding theme or just using them as an accent for your wedding decor is a great way to complement your theme, whether it's a backyard, eco, asian, or simply a color-inspired theme.
Check out the below ideas for simple, inexpensive, and unique ways use paper lantern wedding decorations for your ceremony and reception. Or if you want, go straight to the wedding parasols shop.
1} Replace Ceremony Chair Bows and Flowers With Paper Lanterns
Don't you just love this! When I saw these wedding photos, this couple did to decorate their ceremony venue I just thought that they were the coolest most clever couple ever. For about 1/2 the cost of fancy chair flowers or bows or they got 2x the style! This couples theme was blue, purple, and white, but it would work with any color scheme! And you know what?! You can then reuse these at your reception venue!!!

2} Ceilings Shmelings...Who Says You Have To Hang Them From Above
Clever right! I don't know baout you, but when I think of paper lanterns I usually think of hanging them from the ceilings. They're using three paper lanterns in three different sizes and they've tied them together and then to the hand railing. I'm sure that there are some complications with this depending on the venue, but if you can figure out the logistics I think it'd be super cool!

3} Don't Be Afraid of Color
White is one of my favorite colors for weddings. In fact, I think every should include just a bit of white - at the very least. There are some spaces that just wouldn't look as good with a bunch of white wedding paper lanterns. The pictures here are a perfect example of that. Plain what would have looked flat and blah.

4} Use Unique Shapes
No need to use a lot of lanterns, especially if you're going to go with an unusal shape. The below squares are quite popular as are ovals (seen in the pic above) as well as the beehive shape. I'm also quite fond of the eyelet designs for wedding paper lanterns.

5} Make Wedding Paper Lanterns Your Main Tent Decor
There are quite a few different ways you can decorate you wedding tent. Paper lanterns are quite possibly one of the most playful, photo-worthy and simple ideas for that. I really think that you have a bunch of simple, round paper lanterns in a bunch of different sizes your centerpeices and other decor can be a lot more basic. these weddings are a testament to that!

6} A Simple String of Lanterns at the End of The Aisle
This is a really clever decor idea too - and a lot cheaper than earns! And while some venues would work better with one or the other, I think that just the rose petals or just the lanterns on their own wouldn't have been nearly as effective in this space.
