A Snowflake Bookmark Favor: An Inexpensive Winter Wedding Favor

Thinking about getting your guests a snowflake bookmark favor as a special thank you for attending your wedding? Good idea! Frankly, I like bookmark favors. I think they're practical, affordable, AND good lookin'.

BUT, there are two problems with them. 1st, you want to make sure your snowflake favor isn't cheap (in quality). And 2nd, you want to make sure the guys will like them. Let's talk about those two things a little more...

Here's the thing about snowflake favors, quality and price. Almost all of them cost around the same amount ($1-$2). The difference, is in the quality. A few cents quite literally makes all the difference between tangly wimpy tassles and something nice and substantial. Pay the extra couple of cents!

And will the fella's like them? Well, only you can know if the men attending your wedding will be into these favors. If you don't think they will, but still love this idea why don't you get them something else? Perhaps give couples a little bag of two snowflake themed favors - bookmarks and say...a snowflake wine stopper favor. Quite frankly, I think this is a great his'n hers gift. Perfectly suited to winter as well!

What can you do to make your snowflake bookmark favors a little more unique and "you"?

Instead of the out-of-the-box packaging (which is actually pretty nice) why don't you include a little extra note. Perhaps a little note with some books you have to read - Instead of Oprah's Book Picks, make them YOUR Book Picks. For example, Bride's Book Picks, Groom Book Picks, or Book Picks From The Happy Couple. If you want, you can even be a little funny and use a font similar to Oprahs (ha!).

And if you go with the his'n hers idea and are going to combine the bookmarks with wine favors, include a list of your favorite wines with the snowflake wine stopper.

If you're getting married somewhere that has indoor trees why not hang your favors from the trees? It's one of those trendy, fun things we see in the movies. It might take a little bit of time, but it would be something people would talk about!

If there aren't any trees, but you like the idea, what about using a big ole branch for your wedding centerpieces and hanging these from them. Either a brown or white branch would work depending on your theme. You can attach everyone's name to them as well! All you'd need is a cool, opaque vase and you could just plop one of these branches into it. Voila!
