Top 5 Eco-friendly Wedding Confetti, Wedding Rice Bags, and Wedding Bubbles
Personalized wedding confetti is always a lovely (and affordable) touch for any wedding theme, regardless of season or theme. With the right packaging your confetti experience can go from playful to traditional.
The below options are stylish alternatives to the traditional seeds and rice so you don't have to worry about harming the birds or environment on your special day. Besides, they look so pretty and will make for fun photos.
{1} Rose Petal Toss
I love this DIY doily rose petal cone by Martha Stewart. It's a really pretty and simple idea. And while rose petals may not be as cheap as some of the other confetti ideas on this page it is pretty classy, GORGEOUS in photos and perfectly reasonable if you're having a small, intimiate ceremony.
If you don't want to make your own cones you can get some really lovely store-bought petal cones from around $1-$2 a piece. They are usually sold groups of 5 or 10.
{2} Wedding Bubbles in Mini Tubes
I like the idea of little tiny wedding bubble tubes. There's something really classy about it. AND, on a practical side there's alot less waste so it's a bit more eco friendly than some of the other wedding bubble options. Wedding bubbles are also the most widely accepted confetti/wedding toss option for ceremony venues because they don't leave a big mess.
If you're having children at your wedding ceremony it might be nice to get them a few larger wedding bubble containers just because it'd be a fun activity for them even after the ceremony. And as we know, keeping children entertained at your wedding will make things run a lot more smoothly.
{3} Dried Lavender Toss
I love lavender wedding rice because of the lovely smell that lingers. What'd be more romantic than the soothing and romantic scent of lavender as you walk up the aisle after your big I Do's? AND, since you'll have a bunch in your hair (and possible down your dress) you'll smell lovely the whole night long.
You can put your wedding lavender rice in pretty bags like in the image to the right OR you can place them in confetti cones. They cost approximately $15 for a big huge bag that you divvy up between your cones or organza bags.
{4} Plantable Flower Confetti
I think this is SUPER cute, but there is a little problem with practicality. Some venues might not want wild flowers seeds all over their lawns AND... don't they have to be planted to work?
With that said, I'm including it in this list because despite those "little" issues, I still love the idea if it is an option for your ceremony venue. I just get really senimental about beautiful wild flowers growing for years to come in the place that I was married! It's just such a lovely notion. SO, if it's something that you CAN do... do it!
{5} Eco-friendly Wedding Confetti
If you like the idea of "traditional" wedding confetti you'll be happy to know that you can find a water soluble and biodegradeable wedding confetti option!
And while Beau-Coup (the only place I've found that has them) doesn't have them in a ton of colors, they do have them in white - which would look fabulous no matter what your wedding color scheme is. These probably wouldn't work as well in organza bags, but they do look fabulous in see-through confetti cones.
