Winter Wedding Candle Favors People Will Really Love!

A winter wedding candle can be a fantastic gift for your quests. Not only is it practical and appropriate for both men and women, it's a cozy and romantic gift - fitting for a winter wedding! They're also great for all kinds of wedding themes - from a simple color theme to elaborate winter wonderland snowflake themes.

But, there is a downside to winter wedding candle favors - they can be trinkety. Sorry...it's true! But, they don't have to be - keep these 3 things in mind for the perfect candle favor:

  1. If you're getting a tea light holder, make sure they'll actually be able to put it in their houses. Everyone has different taste. A Red or Ice Blue one could be used for Christmas and frostry white ones can be used all year long.
  2. Make sure it's unscented. Not only do a lot of people hate scented candles. But, there are also alot of people who have allergies.
  3. Don't get too caught up in your theme. Get something simple and suitable for both men and women..or at least something that the guys can use to impress the women!

My Picks

Incorporate Your Winter Candle Favors Into Your Wedding Decor

In addition to placing the candle favors at each place setting, order a few extra and scratter them around your venue location. At the head table, registry table, gift table... and perhaps even surrounding your centerpiece.

Get some LED candles so that you don't have to worry about fire hazards or candles going out. And with LED's you can even get that lovely candle-lit glow during the day without the scent of wax.

Plus, if they see how great they look in your wedding setting they'll immediately appreciate its decorative value in their own homes.

Or What About A DIY Project? This Would Be An Easy One!

If you don't already know, I'm a HUGE fan DIY wedding favors. I'm sorta tempted by the above candle holders (might actually order a few of those blue ones for Christmas!) but if you want to DIY beeswax candles are a cinch!

You can get beeseax sheets and simply roll up your candles (easy as that) in any color you want. Blue and red are most suitable for winter weddings, but you can get any color you want. You can use ribbons or hangtags to give it that winter-feeling.

In addition to sheets, you can also get beeswax bars or beeds and use moulds to make your winter wedding candles. But, if you want easy and cheap, go with the roll up beeswax!
